Paleo “Cereal”

Being paleo, one of the things I had to give up is cereal. Which I totally love. So I came up with this grain-free version that satisfies my cravings for both cereal and sweets.  Its pretty much just fruit, nuts and seeds… my boyfriend calls it bird food, haha.  You can  use whatever you want; mines different every time. Below is a list of some of the things I usually use!

Paleo “Cereal"

  • Walnuts (toasted)
  • Almonds (toasted)
  • Unsweetened shredded coconut (toasted)
  • Golden flax seeds
  • Chia Seeds
  • Cinnamon
  • Dark chocolate chips
  • Banana (sliced)
  • Strawberries (sliced)
  • Almond milk


  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

This "cereal" is packed with protein, and many of the ingredients I use offer health benefits.  Walnuts, flax and chia seed all provide essential fatty acids,  and cinnamon helps to regulate blood sugar. Flax and chia are great sources of fiber, which lowers cholesterol.  And chocolate makes you happy. Duh 🙂
