Eating for the health of our planet.

I was once on a journey to find optimal health through food. The beginning of my quest for health (and the beginning of Devourly) began in my second to last year of college in 2013. My diet went through many stages, starting with Paleo, and in each step of my quest for the best foods, I felt like something was always missing. When I eventually adopted a fully plant-based lifestyle, it was in an attempt to make my human body operate as efficiently as possible. I dove deep into a vegan lifestyle and soon realized that being vegan wasn’t just beneficial to my personal health.

Eating primarily plant-based is a huge way that we can improve the sustainability of our food systems in the United States. Many of us in the states are so lucky to live in areas where we have the ability to make more sustainable food choices. These choices, although seemingly minimal, can raise our standards of mass food production. I now focus on creating easy, fun and delicious recipes that contribute to environmental sustainability.
